Man charged after explosion at Adelaide

An Adelaide man who was left with serious burns to his face and body has been charged after an explosion at a property.

About 4.20am on Tuesday, emergency services were called to Woodcroft, south of the CBD, following an explosion inside a house.

The 57-year-old has been charged with possession of an explosive, possession of an explosive substance, traffic a controlled drug, possession of prescribed equipment and posession of a prohibited weapon.

The man will have a bed side hearing with the Christies Beach Magistrates on Friday.
