Teen injured in SA long weekend crash dies in hospital

A 14-year-old boy, who survived a horror two-car smash north of Adelaide on Monday, has died in hospital this afternoon.
On Monday, police said the cars collided at high speed about 11am at the intersection of the Yorke and Copper Coast highways, near Port Wakefield.
One car flipped onto its side during the crash.
A 36-year-old woman travelling in one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Three other adults, including both drivers, and three children were taken to hospital by helicopter with serious injuries.
It is believed the young boy suffered head injuries during the crash.
Authorities pronounced him dead today.
A 40-year-old man who was driving a third car has been reported for causing death by dangerous driving and aggravated driving without due care.
He will appear in court at a later date.
