Cars crash through front of Adelaide house

An Adelaide couple has had a lucky escape, after two cars crashed through the front of their house after a driver tried to avoid police.

It's alleged the 20-year-old driver turned off his headlights and took off when police tried to stop him on Wednesday night.

He then lost control of his car and crashed it into another vehicle parked in a driveway, sending both cars through the front of the Broadview house.

A man and woman who were in bed in the house received minor injuries, while the driver is under police guard at Royal Adelaide Hospital, with minor injuries.

The house was extensively damaged. The 20-year-old is facing dangerous driving charges.
