Sport collectables stolen in Adelaide

Three cricket bats signed by Sir Donald Bradman are among a huge haul of sports memorabilia stolen in Adelaide.

A 46-year-old man and 51-year-old woman have been charged over dozens of items stolen from a warehouse at Cavan, in Adelaide's north, on Tuesday, with some later found at a Taperoo home.

Some of the most valuable pieces still to be recovered include the framed bats and a Formula 1 hat signed by Michael Schumacher, Damon Hill and Nigel Mansell.

Four Clipsal race car front guards signed by Craig Lowndes, Mark Skaife and Wayne Gardner and a painting of the First Fleet's landing are also still missing.

Police say their investigation is continuing and the charged pair have been bailed and will face the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on March 18.

* A painting of the First Fleet's landing in Australia
