Another giraffe born at SA open-range zoo

South Australia's open-range zoo has welcomed its second baby giraffe in as many weeks.

Zoos SA says the calf was born at Monarto Zoo early on Wednesday and was discovered by staff taking some tentative first steps at about 7am.

The birth by mother Kinky follows another two weeks ago, which ended an eight-year drought in the zoo's giraffe breeding program.
