SA policeman admits abusing public office

An Adelaide police officer has admitted abusing public office and possessing drugs.
Christopher Graham Bonython, 42, of Henley Beach, appeared in South Australia's District Court on Monday.
He pleaded guilty to improperly using information he gained through being a public officer with the intention of securing a benefit for himself or another person in November 2012 at Henley Beach.

Bonython denied a charge of trafficking a controlled drug, but admitted simple possession of the substance.
His bail has been continued and he will face a sentencing hearing on February 7.
