SA drought loans on offer

South Australian farmers battling drought can now access federal government concessional loans, with opening applications invited for a $10 million fund.

"These loans allow farmers facing hardship because of drought to restructure existing debt, or to fund operating expenses or drought preparedness and recovery activities," Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce said on Thursday.

Farmers wanting to apply should contact the federal human services department or Primary Industries and Regions SA.
