SA detectives investigate armed robberies

South Australian detectives are investigating two Adelaide armed robberies.

A service station attendant in Parafield, in Adelaide's north, was held up by a man armed with a machete early Saturday morning.

The man smashed the front door of the BP service station, threatened the attendant and stole the till. The attendant was not injured.

The suspect is described as a man of Asian appearance, aged 25 to 35 and 170cm tall with a slim build. He wore black clothing and a black scarf around his face.

On Friday night, a man armed with a large garden hook demanded cash from staff at a Chinese restaurant in western suburb Findon.

The man fled on foot with the cash register, which contained a small amount of money, police said.

A police dog patrol searched the area but did not find the man.

He is described as Caucasian, about 25 years old and 175cm tall with a slim build and shoulder-length black hair. He was wearing a black hooded jumper and black pants.
