A South Australian detective has been ordered to stand trial on charges of leaking confidential information to the media.

Peter Dawe Martin, 52, has pleaded not guilty to 13 counts of exercising his power or influence as a public officer to secure a benefit in 2012.

In the Adelaide Magistrates court on Monday, Magistrate Paul Bennett ordered Martin to face trial in the District Court.
