SA Catholics to pray for missing plane

The Catholic Church in Adelaide will conduct a special service next week for the passengers and crew on board missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

Archbishop Philip Wilson says in the lead-up to Easter all South Australians are asked to pray for those missing and their families.

"It is impossible not to be touched by the incredible pain and anguish of the families in not knowing what has happened to their loved ones," he said.

"We can feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of the tragedy and it is difficult to have any sort of closure when so many questions remain unanswered."

A special Mass will be held on April 23 at St Francis Xavier's Cathedral in Adelaide.

Archbishop Wilson said wherever the journey of flight MH370 ended and whatever happened, Christians believe those on board have entered eternal life.
