SA bikie associate wants bail for funeral

An Adelaide Hells Angels associate is seeking bail so he can attend the funeral of his murdered brother.

Judge Gordon Barrett last month reserved his verdict at the District Court trial of Arron James Cluse, 23, who is accused of shooting the 11-year-old son of former Finks bikie, Mark Sandery, 42, during a 2011 home invasion.

His 18-year-old brother Kayne David Cluse was stabbed to death earlier this month and a 51-year-old man has been charged with his murder.

During his trial testimony, Arron Cluse said his father was a member of the Hells Angels in Darwin and would regularly take his children to its clubs.

Judge Barrett was due to hear his bail application on Friday, but his lawyer successfully asked for an adjournment until Tuesday.

Police have said major crime detectives believed the motive for Kayne Cluse's death was drug related.
