Russian police dismantle patrol car to free trapped kitten

Russian police have gone all out to rescue a kitten that became stuck under the hood of their patrol car in Moscow.

Video shows officers hoisting the vehicle into the air while officers work out how to get to the young animal. The exact date of the rescue is not known.

Officers were forced to remove one of the vehicle’s headlights and the front part of the car dismantled as part of their rescue efforts.

The curious kitten was eventually extracted and has been affectionately named "Gaishnik" – "traffic cop" in Russian.
