Get out of my face: Russell Crowe's awkward dad moment with son Charles

Powered by

Russell Crowe is known for his intimidating roles in the films Gladiator and Noah and now he can add a new role to his resume – that of an embarrassing dad.

Channel Nine cameras captured an exuberant Crowe and his 10-year-old son Charles celebrating in the NRL semi-finals last night.

As the Rabbitohs landed a try, a perma-grinning Crowe, who owns the club, leaned in to his son and yelled something in his ear.

The reaction just as the camera broadcast the pair is a perfect dad moment every child will relate to.

Charles, whose eyes remained determinedly fixed on the field, appears to scream for his dad to "get out of my face".

Like most fathers, Crowe is hardly put off by his son's obvious embarrassment and continues to cheer on his side.

There will hopefully be more dad moments from the Australian actor as his beloved Bunnies head into the preliminary NRL finals.
