Rudd adviser given nod for Perth seat

Labor has preselected a former Kevin Rudd adviser for the Perth by-election.
WA Labor state secretary Patrick Gorman will stand in the federal seat following the retirement of Tim Hammond.
"Plenty of work to do but hopeful another (Rudd) staffer will be joining me in Canberra to work for a Labor government," Labor MP Anthony Chisholm tweeted on Friday.
