RSPCA Victoria at 'catpacity' slashes rates due to oversupply

RSCPA Victoria has slashed adoption prices for cats because of an oversupply.
From today until Sunday, keen pet owners can pick up a cat, aged four months or older for $39, instead of the regular $120.
Kittens are also available for $99, instead of the usual $195.
"We are at CatPacity," RSPCA Victoria Chief Executive Officer Dr Liz Walker said.
"We have so many cats coming through our doors and even more already awaiting adoption," she said.
The RSPCA said at least 400 felines are "urgently" seeking a home.
RSPCA Victoria cares for around 10,400 cats each year, with numbers peaking as a result of "kitten season" - the breeding season typically between spring and summer.
