Blue skies and balmy weather expected for Royal Wedding

Forecasters are predicting sunshine and a top of somewhere in the order of 16 to 19 degrees come the day of the royal wedding.

But perhaps Prince Harry and Meghan should listen to the bookies who are saying May 19 could be the hottest day of the year so far.

Betting firm Ladbrokes is offering 5/1 odds that the temperature will rise above 29.1 degrees.

It's even been warm in Scotland. There's been nothing but blue skies during our stay and Edinburgh is abuzz.

The streets have been alive and filled with people soaking up the sunshine.

The UK has seen some incredibly warm weather over the past week. Temperatures soared above 25 degrees on the recent Bank holiday Monday.

The forecasters are predicting it won't be quite as hot on the big day. But they are predicting sunshine and a top of somewhere in the order of 16 to 19 degrees.

Thankfully, it's unlikely to rain for Prince Harry and Meghan's nuptials. When you look at the historical data, there's only a one in eight chance that showers will fall on May 19.

A dry wedding day would fit in line with other recent royal weddings, including those of Prince William and Katherine and Prince Charles and Diana.

Even though rain on your wedding day can be seen as a sign of good fortune, no couple wants to be ducking for cover on their special day.

So here's hoping the forecasters have it spot on.
