Trade Minister Andrew Robb hopes negotiations in Hawaii this week will mean aloha to the much anticipated 12-country free trade agreement.

Mr Robb will participate in the Trans-Pacific Partnership meeting from Tuesday to Friday which could result in the world's largest regional free trade agreement with two-way trade worth around $223 billion.

"The negotiations are at a very advanced stage and we are pushing hard to ensure we can secure major gains and opportunities for Australian business and for our economy," Mr Robb said in a statement on Sunday.
