Shocking road rage attack by mystery driver leaves car a write-off

A Queensland woman has described the terrifying moment her car was rammed by a speeding driver, leaving her vehicle a crumpled wreck.

Debbie Hall was on her way to work at Oakey, west of Brisbane, when she says a four wheel drive rammed her Mazda from behind, up the three times, before speeding off.

"I think I was annoyed and shocked, and more than anything disappointed that they did a u-turn and took off in the other direction doing the same type of speed and driving like a lunatic," she says.

The whole terrifying ordeal was captured on the dashcam of the 61-year-old's vehicle, the impact completely crushing the rear end of her car and sending debris flying across the road.

Ms Hall didn't escape unscathed either.

"I got a bit of whiplash of my neck and some bruising on the back of my leg from the impact," she told A Current Affair.

While police are investigating, it seems no-one witnessed the hit and run, prompting a plea from Ms Hall for the culprit to own up to what they did.

"I'm pretty devastated about the damage to our property and I just wish the person that's responsible for this could own up to what they've done and maybe in the future drive a bit more carefully," she says.

The vehicle, which was a 60th birthday present, is a write-off.
