Ebay pulls $90k listing for Richmond v Collingwood tickets
A fierce online bidding war for preliminary AFL finals tickets which reached $90,000 has been pulled down eBay.
The Level 1 M35 tickets for the Tigers v Magpies match at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday were being bid on by 32 hopefuls on the online auction site tonight.
Another pair of prelim tickets were also listed at $20,000, more than 200 times the original maximum selling price advertised on Ticketek.
However, by 6.15pm tonight eBay had pulled both listings, with an error message appearing in their place.
9news.com.au has contacted eBay for comment.
The incredible attempt at price-gauging comes as Jetstar tonight slashed flights to the Demons and Eagles match at Optus Stadium in Perth by half.
However it may be too late for some fans- all tickets to Saturday afternoon’s match have sold out too.
The preliminary finals will determine who faces off in this year’s Grand Final, which will be held on September 29.
More than 100,000 fans are expected to pack into the ‘G.
