Retired South Australian couple win $15m in Oz Lotto jackpot

A retired couple are South Australia's newest multi-millionaires after claiming the $15 million Oz Lotto prize.

The winning wife of the multi-millionaire duo from Mawson Lakes joked that she was "too old" for all of the excitement.

"I'm going to need something a bit stronger than a cup of tea to celebrate," she said.

"It's all very exciting but we've got to be sensible. I think we'll leave the money in the bank for a while and live off the interest.

"There might be a bit of a splash, but nothing extravagant. We might take a taxi to the doctor's for a change."

The couple plan to pay off their children's mortgages and said they were looking forward to sharing the money with family members.

It's the second time in a month South Australia has been home to a winner in the Oz Lotto jackpot.

There was plenty of buzz this morning at the Mawson Lakes Newsagency as ticket holders checked their numbers.

The winning numbers were 43, 39, 6, 16, 15, 35 and 22 with the supplementary numbers 40 and 2.
