Report due on defence abuse taskforce

A Senate committee will decide on Thursday whether a taskforce assessing cases of abuse in Defence is doing its job properly.
The committee has been looking at the adequacy of current support for victims of sexual and other abuse in Defence.
The taskforce can make reparations of up to $50,000 for each victim.

It can also refer matters to police or military justice authorities for criminal investigation.
