Report due into Border Force powers

An audit of Australian Border Force's use of its powers will be released on Monday.

The Australian National Audit Office has been examining the establishment and administration of the ABF in 2015 and the way in which it has exercised its powers over the past two years.

The ABF, whose mission is to protect Australia's border and manage the movement of people and goods across it, has been accused of "militarising" immigration policy.
