‘Indescribable numbness’: Sister of Kim Hunt grieves after farm massacre tragedy

The sister of Kim Hunt, the mother killed along with her husband and their three children at a NSW farm, has come forward to express her grief after the tragedy.

Jenny Geppert said she felt an "indescribable numbness" at the loss of her loved ones.

The Hunts, including mother Kim, father Geoff and children Fletcher, Mia and Phoebe, were all shot dead at their Lockhart farm near Wagga Wagga earlier this week.

"All that can be felt is an indescribable numbness and all encompassing, heart-wrenching sadness with losing my sister, brother-in-law, nephew and nieces," Mrs Geppert said.

"My most beautiful, spirited sister, Kim, whom I idolised and adored; my dear brother-in-law, Geoff, who was incredibly generous and kind-hearted; my beautiful nephew and nieces Fletcher, Mia and Phoebe, who I cherished and thought of as my own children.

"All are loved dearly.

"The void that is left in our lives is immeasurable. They are profoundly missed.

"We have had overwhelming support from family and friends as well as the local community and beyond. I cannot express enough appreciation for this kindness. Thank you.

"Please give a hug to those you love and count your blessings that they are with you."

Mrs Geppert became known to the public after she featured on the reality TV show Farmer Wants A Wife in 2008.

She and her husband Mark lived close to the Hunts.
