Record crowds tipped for Anzac Day in ACT

The Australian War Memorial expects record attendances for its Anzac Day commemorations, this year marking the centenary of the Gallipoli landings.

About 50,000 people are expected to attend the dawn service on Saturday week with another 30,000 coming for the national service later in the morning.

Memorial director Brendan Nelson says it will be one of the most significant commemorative events in Australia's history.
