Rebels bikie boss arrested: NSW police

The alleged president of a Rebels bikie gang chapter has been arrested after a violent clash with police in northern NSW.

Officers attended a hotel while on patrol in Ballina early on Saturday morning when a man allegedly became abusive.

Police say the 33-year-old had to be tasered after threatening officers.

The alleged president of the Rebels' Ballina chapter was charged with intimidating police and failing to leave a premises.

He will appear in Ballina Local Court on July 17.
