Canberra's premier tourist event has become casualty of southern Australia's wet weather.
Heavy rain overnight and with the threat of more to come on Thursday forced organisers of Floriade to close the site and undertake maintenance.
The festival, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the national capital, will re-open on Friday.
