Racing teens charged with reckless driving

Two P-plate drivers who allegedly raced their cars at more than twice the speed limit in Perth's north have been charged and had their cars impounded.
The two young men, aged 18 and 19, reached estimated speeds of more than 140kmh as they raced along Hepburn Avenue in Alexander Heights on Saturday night, police say.
Both will appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court at a later date on reckless driving charges.

Their cars were impounded for 28 days.
