Rachelle Louise visits Gittany in prison

Simon Gittany's girlfriend Rachelle Louise has visited her partner in prison, spending more than an hour with the fiancée killer at Sydney's Parklea maximum security jail.

The 24-year-old aspiring model was spotted at the prison gates just after midday yesterday for a scheduled visit, the MailOnline reports.

Dressed in black gym clothes, Ms Louise made the visit along with Gittany's father, mother and two sisters.

The visit comes a day after Ms Louise's second interview was aired on Channel Seven, in which she declared she would only wait five years for Gittany.

Ms Louise also continued to protest his innocence and claimed there was no way he could have murdered his former fiancée, Lisa Harnum.

Gittany, 40, was sentenced last week to a minimum of 18 years behind bars after throwing Ms Harnum over the balcony railing of their high-rise Sydney apartment in 2011.

Ms Louise had been at court throughout the trial but did not attend on the day he was sentenced.

She is allowed to visit Gittany at Parklea only twice a week — a much stricter regimen than the daily visits she was permitted at Sydney's Silverwater remand centre while Gittany was awaiting sentence.
