"Will the prime minister finally tell the Australian people why Malcolm Turnbull is no longer the prime minister of Australia?" - Labor leader Bill Shorten.

"I think it's time for the leader of the opposition to get over it." - Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

"When will the prime minister apologise to Australians for running a protection racket over bad behaviour and voting against the (banking) royal commission 26 times?" - Shadow treasurer Chris Bowen.

"The problem I didn't see, and I should have seen, the problem that also needed to be addressed was the hurt that people were feeling as a result of the banking and financial sector. I regret not having done that earlier for that reason." - Morrison on the royal commission.
