Question time held off for abuse survivors

Question time won't go ahead in federal parliament on Monday out of respect for those who were sexually abused as children in the care of institutions.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison made a national apology to survivors of such abuse on Monday, with hundreds gathered to hear.

He told parliament that those survivors had waited a long time for an apology and as such, he and Opposition Leader Bill Shorten had agreed question time "can wait until tomorrow".
