Gold Coast woman behind bars after stabbing man with broken wine bottle
A Gold Coast woman has been sentenced to six years in jail for stabbing a man in the neck with a broken wine bottle.
Jasmine Lyons, 25, was tracked down by police outside the Australia Fair Shopping Centre in Southport after the incident in March last year.
The court heard Lyons and the 43-year-old victim were known to each other and that Lyons was drunk at the time of the attack.

The court heard Lyons rode past the man on her bike when he yelled a slur at her, sparking the incident.
Police called the act "unprovoked street violence".
The judge told Lyons the wound inflicted was serious and had the man been left untreated, he may have died.
