High heat, hail, storms all forecast in week of extremes for Queensland
There's more extreme weather on the way for Queensland.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast higher-than average temperatures for the state, remaining in the high 20s-low 30 degree range through the week in Brisbane.
The capital's temperature is set to peak at 33 degrees today.

Higher temperatures will persist in parts of Queensland this week. Today
But thunderstorms will begin to hit from tomorrow, starting in the North West, Gulf, and Peninsula districts, while things remain hot further south.
On Friday, thunderstorms will be more widespread, including in the south-east, with possible heavy falls forecast.
Over the weekend there's set to be more rain throughout the state and isolated storms further north.

This will clear up in the south-east into early next week.
Temperatures in Queensland's south and east are set to remain average or higher than average despite the rain, likely leading to humid conditions.
But things will be cooler in the state's north-west.
Hail and damaging wind gusts in some parts have also been forecast.
