Queenslanders to get tap-and-go bus fare payments
Commuters in Queensland will soon be able to pay for their bus trips using their smartphone, smartwatch, debit or credit card.
Annastacia Palaszczuk announced on social media today that the tap-and-pay tech would be rolling out across buses.
"We're ramping up the rollout of new payment methods across the bus network," she said.

"The installation of Smart Ticketing equipment across Caboolture Bus Lines is complete with testing on 55 vehicles before customer trials start in the coming months."
Queensland already has smart ticketing on trains.
New South Wales has had smart ticketing across all its public transport for some time, after the first trials in 2017.
In Victoria, Premier Daniel Andrews has announced a "best practice" payment method will be put in place after Myki expires later this year.
