Thunderstorms to follow scorcher Queensland weekend
Queensland is bracing for more wet weather with thunderstorms forecast for parts of the state this afternoon.
The storms will be milder than last week in the south-east, but large hail and wind gusts are predicted.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) has warned of potentially severe thunderstorms this afternoon, particularly in the Wide Bay Burnett region which is already seeing storms.

Mariners at sea in this region have been warned of strong wind gusts off the coast.
The warnings come after a warm weekend for the Sunshine State, with temperatures soaring up to 40C in some areas.
New South Wales is also set for more rain, though later in the week.
Meanwhile, Sydney is set for a series of mild and partly cloudy days, with temperatures peaking at a possible 31C on Friday, before rain on the weekend.

Melbourne is facing some midweek and weekend rain, with temperatures peaking in the mid-20C range.
Darwin is also facing a storm today and sporadic rain during the rest of the week.
It's set to be the capital with the hottest temperatures, with forecasts of up to 35C on some days.
Hobart, Adelaide and Perth will also see sporadic rain, but no major weather events are forecast.
