Queensland prisoners run riot in protest to coronavirus lockdown
Prisoners have rioted in a Queensland correctional centre under coronavirus lockdown, smashing windows in their cells and even lighting a fire.
Officers at the Borallon Training and Correctional Centre, near Ipswich, ran in to extinguish the blaze which broke out just after 9pm yesterday.
Two guards have been taken to hospital after reacting to the chemicals in the extinguisher.

It's believed four cells were damaged during the unrest.
It follows a riot at a prison south of Brisbane earlier this week, where inmates rallied against strict lockdown measures after two employees were linked to a recent COVID-19 cluster.

All correctional centres in Queensland were placed into stage-four restrictions on August 26 after a confirmed case of COVID-19 at the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre at Wacol.
Many have since relaxed restrictions.
