Queensland police hunt robber who menaced shopkeeper in Toowoomba

Queensland detectives are hunting for an armed robber who tried to hold up a convenience store and menaced a shopkeeper with a knife in Toowoomba earlier this month.

Police said the masked bandit burst into the shop on Perth Street, in the Toowoomba suburb of Rangeville, about 10.45pm on July 5 and demanded cash.

Despite being threatened with a knife, a staff member refused to hand over cash and the robber fled.

Police said no one was injured during the attack.

The robber is described as being Caucasian of medium build. He was wearing a black balaclava, dark hoodie and dark pants at the time of the attack.
