Gold Coast woman jailed for running down friend over social media video
A Gold Coast hairdresser is tonight behind bars after running down a man in Broadbeach over a video on social media.
Karla Condon was upset because a video posted to social media by a friend showed she had gone out when she'd told other friends she was staying in.
Enraged, she sent a threatening text that said "I swear to God, you're gone mate".

About 15 minutes later, she made an abrupt U-turn at a busy Broadbeach intersection, mounted a traffic island and bowled the man over.
As he got up, she reversed before taking off.
A court was today told she knew the victim well and had dropped him off at the casino earlier that night.
