A three-year-old girl has died in hospital after she was hit by a car on the Gold Coast on Sunday.
Luna Matenga passed away at the Gold Coast University Hospital last night following the tragic incident on Goldmine Road at Ormeau.
Her grieving mother, Jessica Feeney, used social media to pay tribute to her "beautiful baby girl".
The incident occurred at Ormeau on Sunday morning. Nine
"Unfortunately at 9.03pm on the 22nd of December we let our beautiful baby girl go, surrounded by her family in the arms of her mummy and daddy!" she wrote.
"Our hearts are completely broken ... Fly high my gorgeous blue eyed, red headed unicorn!
"Ride those dragons baby... until we meet again!"

Police say initial investigations indicate Luna crossed the road in between two parked cars and was hit by a Toyota Corolla which was travelling northbound around 9am.
A registered nurse was at the scene and commenced CPR immediately.
The 33-year-old female driver was not injured.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
