Gold Coast stolen car escapees wanted by police

Three people are on the run after crashing a stolen car at Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast.

Their desperate dash from the wreck was captured on camera by stunned onlookers.

The video shows the trio crawling through the window of the flipped Holden Commodore and taking off moments before police arrived.

Earlier, the stolen vehicle hit a parked car along the Gold Coast Highway, before ploughing through a garden bed and ending up on its side about 11.30pm last night.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
