Police release video of ‘dangerous high-speed chase’ on Gold Coast
A man has been charged after allegedly leading police on a dangerous chase on the Gold Coast last night.
Police say a 25-year-old Yamba man was driving a stolen white 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander seen speeding through a red light at Stevens Street in Southport.
The driver allegedly evaded police who attempted to intercept the car.

Video released by police shows the car driven on the wrong side of the road at speed in the driver's attempt to get away.
It was tracked by PolAir and eventually stopped by road spikes on Marine Parade at Labrador.
The driver got out of the car at Frank Street, before allegedly assaulting a 44-year-old dog squad officer.

The officer suffered a torn pectoral muscle and was transported to Pindarra Hospital in a stable condition.
The 25-year-old was arrested and taken to Gold Coast University Hospital suffering suspected intoxication.
He has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, evasion, disqualified driving, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing drug utensils and burglary and will appear in court tomorrow.
