Manhunt underway after man shot in leg in Beenleigh home

A manhunt is underway in Beenleigh south of Brisbane tonight after two men stormed into a house and shot a man in the leg.

Police say the men entered the house on Lehmans Road just after 5pm and assaulted a 40-year-old man.

They then shot him in the leg.

Paramedics took the man to the Princess Alexandria Hospital in a serious condition.

Police are searching the area with the dog squad.

They say the two men are of Islander appearance with large builds, and are aged in their 20s.
