Man pulled from wreckage of burning car on Queensland highway

A man has been pulled from the wreckage of his burning car after he slammed into a power pole in Queensland's north.
The accident happened on the Bruce Highway at Hamilton Plains, just north of Proserpine, about 10.40am today, bringing down power lines and causing the car to burst into flames.
Police said the man was pulled from the vehicle and taken to Proserpine Hospital with significant burns.

No one else was injured in the crash.
