Queensland man goes swimming with his pet snake

Going for a swim with your dog is nothing shocking, but how about a paddle with your pet snake.

A Brisbane man has filmed the bizarre interaction between a swimmer and his beloved serpent at Tallebudgera Creek on the Gold Coast on Sunday afternoon.

The unidentified man is seen kissing and cradling the python.

He then tosses the snake onto its back and waits for it to swim back to him in a bizarre variation of fetch.

"This dude came out of nowhere with a tallie of VB and a snake around his neck," musician Indy Davies told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

"Then he just threw it into the water and it swam back to him and then they just seemed to be playing."

The playful encounter went on for about half an hour.
