Huge lines form outside Queensland hospitals for COVID-19 testing

Long queues have formed outside hospitals in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast as Queenslanders wait to get tested for coronavirus.

The rush comes as the outbreak on Sydney's Northern Beaches grows and after a woman from the region tt to the virus.

People from the Gold Coast, Cleveland, Cairns and Townsville have also been urged to come forward, after the virus was detected in sewage samples.

Huge queues have formed outside the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, while lines are snaking around the block from the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Queenslanders are being urged to get tested immediately if they have any symptoms at all for coronavirus.
