Constables 'raped woman while on duty'

Two police officers in central Queensland have been accused of raping a woman while on duty. 

The alleged attack occurred in Mackay on Sunday morning and was reported on Monday afternoon. 

The two constables, aged 28 and 29, have been charged with five counts of rape and one count each of deprivation of liberty and assault with intent to commit rape.

No other details about the incident have been disclosed. 

The men were charged following an investigation by Queensland Police's Ethical Standards Command.

Both have been suspended and will face Mackay Magistrates Court today.
