Queen's Baton on the home stretch
The Queen's Baton will leave Brisbane tomorrow, travelling down the M1 to its final destination, the Gold Coast.
It's been 36 years since Queensland last hosted the Games, and while the Queen can't make it to the Sunshine State herself, the baton has visited all the iconic locations.
Yesterday, it toured Griffith University before making its way down Queen Street Mall and crossing the river to South Bank.

Today it will begin at Daisy Hill, visiting Beenleigh before touring the picturesque Tamborine Mountain and Upper Coomera before ending the day in Helensvale.
