Woman rescued after being pinned to train tracks in Brisbane

A woman has been rescued after being trapped on train tracks in Brisbane, an incident which caused delays across the rail network.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was pinned by the legs on the tracks at Eagle Junction station.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Ambulance said she was "conscious and alert" throughout the ordeal.

"She had significant leg injuries. She was taken in a serious condition to Royal Brisbane Hospital," she said.

Delays of up to 40 minutes were experienced throughout the network.
