Woman's body found inside Qld home

A woman's body has been discovered inside a home on the Sunshine Coast.

The 57-year-old woman had suffered head injuries when police found her shortly after 3pm on Wednesday, after they had been called to the address at Caloundra West to conduct a welfare check.

Police are awaiting results of a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of her death.
