Woman charged after Gold Coast assault

A woman has been charged over an assault on the Gold Coast that has left another woman in a hospital.

The 25-year-old is facing a charge of grievous bodily harm following the attack at Coomera early on Sunday.

Police say a group of people were involved in a fight on Dreamworld Parkway when a 23-year-old woman was picked up and dropped to the ground.

She was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.

The woman charged over the incident is due to face the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
