Woman charged over Sunshine Coast death

A woman has faced court after the suspicious death of a man in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Danielle Beutel, 39, of Maleny, wasn't required to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court after she was charged with manslaughter on Wednesday.

She was remanded in custody until her case returns to the same court on May 1.

The 63-year-old man was found slumped outside his Maleny home about midday on Tuesday after reportedly falling.

He died a short time later in Maleny hospital.

Beutel was known to him and spent Tuesday afternoon being interviewed by police.
